Adrien Emmons is promoted to the Alliance’s Regional Director of Eastern Operations to fill Roger Quinn’s position. Adrien was Roger’s Assistant and an attempt to impose his authority on Frank Rodeen failed which brought him censure from the top. In Adrien’s opinion the operative codenamed Sundance was treated like a prima donna by the Alliance Council due to his exemplary performance record. A greater frustration churned inside Adrien over the fact that Rodeen had become somewhat of a legendary figure among many of the other operatives, but never allowed that recognition to shape his attitude. A strong dislike developed between the two causing Adrien to become a major nemesis in Frank’s life. That is until now! Unexpectedly Adrein's sister and family find thenselves in the middle of a drug/alien smuggling ring and he needs Frank's help. It is the first time in his life that Adrien must set aside his Me First Philosphy, however it becomes a benefical humbling experience for him. In return Frank finds himself among others hired by Adrien who not only dislike him, but have differences among each other and finally Adrien's sister, who's domineering attitude is forced to undergo a major change. Keeping it all together against the smugglers becomes a juggling act for Rodeen.
